Marketing Automation Manager

Based at Battersea Studios, London

Reports to Head of Marketing

Role Profile

Ski Solutions is looking for a Marketing Automation Manager to oversee the CRM and data management across the business (ski & summer activities). The main aim of this role is to put Salesforce and data at the heart of everything we do, and this role will lead this effort within the business.

Reporting into the Head of Marketing, this role will work across three travel brands; Ski Solutions, BSpoke Tours and Cycling for Softies. Data and business intelligence is an integral part of the company’s success plan over the next five years and this is an exciting opportunity to help drive this forward.

You will be experienced in Salesforce and marketing automation, tech savvy and possess excellent trouble shooting skills. You must be comfortable ‘rolling your sleeves’ up and getting hands on in the detail, but are capable of thinking and operating strategically. The successful candidate will be able to display evidence of proven successes through their career in the travel, retail, luxury or services sectors.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a CRM marketing position within a B2C environment
  • Highly organised and a self starter
  • Ambitious and keen problem solver
  • Ability to make quick decisions while remaining calm under pressure
  • A passion for winter sports (desirable but not essential)

Core Responsibilities

CRM

  • Responsible for the day to day operations and management of the CRM system
  • Work with the Campaign Marketing Manager to deliver the CRM strategy
  • Champion adoption of the CRM creating a wider understanding of the value it brings
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure the CRM works effectively for all aspects of the company
  • Build and manage all Salesforce integrations with other technical systems
  • Provide training and support to all teams to ensure they gain the maximum benefit from working in the CRM
  • Ensure all training support documentation remains current and relevant to assist with consistent usage
  • Identify priority areas for development working with the Salesforce agency that have the most impact
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing to manage CRM budget

Data management

  • Oversee the development and use of data systems
  • Have a full understanding of data in the business and ensure that the company’s data is stored, managed and analysed effectively
  • Ensure the integrity of data in the system is regularly reviewed and action taken to ensure consistency and reduce duplication
  • Create and enforce policy for effective data management in the business ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data management with attention to all technical aspects
  • Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorise maintenance or modifications
  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed

Requirements

  • Proven CRM and data management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Salesforce and marketing automation
  • Experience of Zapier, Cloudingo a bonus
  • Experience of successfully working with and managing agencies
  • Good knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Strong analytical skills

Operations Executive

Reports to Head of Client Services

Based at Battersea, London

Salary £22,000 - £24,000 dependent on experience 

This is a wide-ranging and exciting role, supporting our tailor-made winter-sports programme, in a fast growing and ever changing business. Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Roles and Responsibilities

Tour Operating Administration

  • Checking all tour operator bookings, reconciling client confirmations and supplier invoices
  • Liaising with the sales and client service teams to ensure all booking components are correctly booked and working where required with clients on changes and additions to bookings
  • Flight changes/cancellations
  • Manage transfer companies and short break transfer programme
  • Working with the Operations Assistant to anage the mailing of all travel documents to ensure accuracy and distribution within Ski Solutions service standards
  • Supporting our Head of Product & Commercial with hotel and chalet allocations
  • Provide out of office duty cover

Flight Management

Working with the Head of Client Services:

  • Manage ticketing queues
  • Liaise with outsourced IATA ticketing provider
  • Administration and day to day management of flight allocations and airline contracts

Health and Safety

  • With the Head of Client Services, manage the Health and Safety programme

 Essentials:

· Absolute, unwavering attention to detail

· Calm under pressure with an ability to meet deadlines

· Highly organised

· Numerate

· Good working knowledge of MS Excel

Would like:

· Airline and ticketing abilities using Lime & Aviate

· Language skills (French, German or Italian) are useful

Client Service Concierge

Reports to Head of Client Services

Based at Battersea, London

Salary £19,000 - £21,000 dependent on experience 

This is a wide-ranging and exciting role, supporting our winter-sports programme, in a fast-growing and ever-changing business. As part of our Client Services team you will be responsible for every aspect of the booking process once the client has confirmed their holiday. Our ideal candidate will have unparalleled customer service skills, a keen eye for detail and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Concierge

  • Provide support and guidance to the client post booking, ensuring unparalleled service is delivered at all times
  • Answering client queries regarding their accommodation or resort by phone and email
  • Selling Ski Solutions ski hire to clients
  • Assisting clients to book lift passes, ski school, nannies and restaurants

Administration

  • Liaising with tour operators or directly with European and North American suppliers to administer changes to client bookings
  • Processing new bookings and invoices
  • Preparing travel itineraries and sending client travel documents

Credit Control

  • Arranging client payments by phone or bank transfer
  • Chasing clients in a timely manner to pay any overdue monies

Essentials:

  • Previous office experience
  • Excellent written communication and a friendly telephone manner with a willingness to go the extra mile
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • You must work well in a team with a hard-working and flexible approach
  • Numerate
  • A love of the mountains and all things ski and travel

Operations Assistant

Reports to Head of Client Services

Salary £18,000

This is a wide-ranging and exciting role, supporting our winter-sports programme, in a fast-growing and ever-changing business. As part of our After Sales team you will be responsible for supporting our clients and Client Service Concerige team with all administrative aspect of the booking process once the client has confirmed their holiday. Our ideal candidate will have passion for ski and travel, a keen eye for detail and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain office experience during your gap year or post-university, in a young, vibrant and sociable team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Processing new bookings and invoices
  • Preparing travel itineraries and sending client travel documents
  • Producing ski hire vouchers for the client
  • Collecting client names and passenger details prior to departure
  • Liaising with tour operators to administer changes to client bookings
  • Supporting the Head of Client Services and the wider team with ad hoc admin duties

Ski Sales Account Manager

Role Profile

We are looking for a talented Account Manager to join our leading winter-sports tour operator and travel agent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative, fast-paced sales team within a fast-growing luxury travel company based in a fantastic office in south-west London.

As Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for clients. The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain a relationship with clients through focused account management. Using your sales skills and experience, you will convert enquiries into bookings making sure that agreed targets are achieved whilst maintaining the company’s high standard of unparalleled service. It’s important you are a keen skier who’s passionate about the mountains and looking for an exciting new challenge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert enquiries into sales by tailoring a package specific to the client’s requirements
  • Using expert knowledge of the ski industry to recommend a holiday package for clients
  • Attempting to close the sale at every opportunity
  • Actively seek to improve the level of service offered to clients with a commitment to go the extra mile and exceed expectations
  • Achieve and exceed sales performance targets against KPI’s including call conversion and margin targets
  • Take ownership and accountability of your work ensuring 100% booking accuracy
  • Develop and increase knowledge of products across the Ski Solutions range
  • Demonstrate willingness and flexibility to assist other departments with customer queries
  • Outbound calls to existing clients to maintain Account Manager relations
  • Manage your sales pipeline and bookings using our CRM and reservation systems

Personal Specification

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven sales track record, preferably in ski sales/tailor made ski sales
  • Proven record of working in a target driven sales environment
  • Highly sales motivated

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, builds strong trusting relationships with clients
  • Ability to work under pressure to handle targets with a strong sense of urgency

Remuneration

We are proud to offer a market leading remuneration package that rewards hard work. All of our new starters undertake an extensive three-month training and induction period. The average OTE for a new starter in their first year with modest sales experience is £32k. Our higher earners with a few years’ experience earn over £45k on average, with uncapped commission potential.
